What Brevo's policy says
As of 23 September 2026, section D.2 of the Brevo anti-spam policy is headed "Content, products, or services not accepted regardless of legality". The list under it includes this line, quoted in full:
"Peptide-based products for injectable or oral human therapeutic, weight-loss, or performance use (e.g. GLP-1 analogues, growth hormone peptides), including those labeled "research use only", whether or not sold under prescription or legal in the recipient's jurisdiction."
No date is printed on the policy page, so check it yourself before you rely on this summary. Brevo's terms of use are public too, and worth reading alongside it.
Three parts of the line matter most. It names peptides directly. It names the research use only label directly. And it says the rule applies whether or not the product is sold under prescription or legal where your customer lives.
What "regardless of legality" means for you
Most brands defend themselves on legality. Your products are lawful to sell, your labels are correct, your site makes no human-use claims. Under this clause, none of that decides the question. Brevo decides on the category, not on whether your sale is lawful.
That is Brevo's right. It runs shared sending infrastructure, and it chooses which categories it will carry. But it means there is no version of a peptide brand that is compliant enough to stay. A cleaner site, a stricter disclaimer or a softer subject line does not move you out of the category.
So the useful question is not how to stay on Brevo. It is how to leave cleanly, with your list, your opt-outs and your sending reputation intact.
If Brevo already closed your account
Move fast, and move by the rules.
- Export while you still can. If you can still log in, export your contacts and your unsubscribed and blocklisted contacts as CSV files. The opt-out list matters as much as the contacts.
- Ask support if you cannot log in. Write to Brevo support and ask for an export of your contact data. Keep the request short and factual.
- Do not work around the decision. Do not open a new account under another name or another domain. That breaks the rules you agreed to and can damage the domain you send from.
- Keep your customers in the loop. Once you are sending again, a plain note that you moved your email is enough.
What to look for in a replacement
A replacement that closes you in three months is worse than no replacement. Check four things.
- Written acceptance. The acceptable use policy should accept your category in writing. Read it yourself.
- Its own sending.Ask who runs the servers. If the platform rents sending from a bigger provider, that provider's rules apply too.
- Suppression import. You must be able to bring your unsubscribes and bounces, not only your contacts.
- A store connection. Orders, carts and consent have to arrive on their own, or your flows cannot run.
How Amino Engine handles it
Amino Engine is an email platform built for peptide brands. Our acceptable use policy (last updated 5 September 2026) says: "We built this platform for peptide and research compound brands, because the mainstream providers throw them off." It also asks the same discipline of every brand: no human-use claims, no dosing, no health testimonials.
- Mail leaves from your own domain, on servers and IP addresses Amino Engine runs. No outside email provider sits above your account.
- A WooCommerce plugin connects your store today. Shopify is next.
- Brevo exports import by CSV. Unsubscribes and bounces stay unsubscribes and bounces.
- Flows, campaigns, a drag-and-drop builder, segments, signup forms with double opt-in, and revenue reporting are all included.
Reporting opens on revenue, not open rates. Revenue is attributed to the last email click within five days, and opens never count, so the number is smaller and easier to trust. There is also an API and an MCP server. An AI agent can build flows and emails as drafts, and a person on your team switches them live. Brevo publishes an MCP server too, so that is not the reason to move. The policy and the sending are.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, every feature included, no card to start. See the plans on the pricing page, or read the full guide to email marketing for peptide brands.
Moving from Brevo step by step
- Export your contacts and your opt-outs from Brevo as CSV.
- Start your free trial and install the WooCommerce plugin.
- Import both files. Opt-outs stay opted out.
- Set up your sending domain. Warmup runs for 42 days while volume climbs gradually.
- Turn on a welcome series and abandoned cart from the 82 ready-made flows, then add more.
If your Brevo account is still open, pause its flows while you set up, so no customer gets two copies of the same email. Once the store is connected, new orders and carts flow in on their own, and your first flows start from real activity rather than an old export.
Our guide on moving from Klaviyo to Amino Engine walks through the same steps in more detail. They work the same way for a Brevo export.
Other platforms and their policies
Brevo is the only platform we checked that names peptides. The others use wider words like pharmaceutical products or drugs for research purposes. We quote each one, with links and dates, in which email platforms allow peptide brands. If you came here from Klaviyo, see our Klaviyo alternative page.
