Home is the first screen in Email & SMS. It shows what email earned, how your list is moving, and what needs fixing. Every card follows one period, which you can change.

#Change the period

  1. Look at the top right of Home.

  2. Press 7 days, 30 days or 90 days.

Every card on the page updates. Arrows on the numbers compare with the previous period of the same length. If there is nothing to compare, the arrow shows a dash and the words "nothing to compare with". Press Create campaign beside it to start a campaign.

#The four revenue numbers

Number What it is
Email revenue Money from orders credited to your emails, next to everything your store took.
Email share of revenue Email revenue as a percentage of everything your store took.
Orders from email How many orders were credited to email, out of all orders.
Revenue per delivered email Email revenue divided by the marketing emails that landed.

An order is credited to email when the buyer clicked one of your emails shortly before buying. The next article, "How revenue is matched to your emails", has the full rule. Opens never count.

If no store is connected, the cards say Connect your store to see revenue and link to Connect your store. Until then Home shows a chart of emails sent per day instead of revenue.

A card can show a dash instead of a number. Email share of revenue shows a dash when no email has been clicked yet, or when your store took nothing in the period.

#The charts

  • Revenue, day by day has two shaded areas: your whole store and from email. Hover over a day to see both numbers.
  • Emails sent, day by day appears when no store is connected. Hover over a day to see how many left.
  • Under Your list a small line chart shows new subscribers minus unsubscribes, day by day.

#What's earning

What's earning splits email revenue into From flows and From campaigns. Flows run themselves and campaigns are the ones you send. A note appears when some revenue came from people who clicked an order email, such as a receipt or a shipping note. Those belong to no flow or campaign, so the two bars do not add up to the total.

Top earners ranks flows and campaigns by revenue, with Orders, Revenue and Per email. Per email stays blank until a send is large enough for the figure to mean something. Click a name to open it.

#Your list and engagement

Your list shows New subscribers, Unsubscribed, Net and People you can email, the last one out of everyone on the account.

Engagement is measured on the marketing emails delivered in the period:

  • Click rate counts people who clicked something. A note says how many clicks were filtered as automated.
  • Open rate is shown with a warning. Apple Mail and others load the tracking image for mail nobody read. If we can tell, the card says how many opens belong to a person and how many were loaded by a mail provider.
  • Unsubscribe rate and Spam complaints show the share of people who left or reported you.

The links "see the last 30 days" open the matching people in Contacts.

#Planning cards

  • Pick up where you left off lists drafts and designs you started but did not finish.
  • This month is a calendar of campaigns scheduled or sent. Below it, Today and the next 7 days lists what is planned.
  • Texts shows your remaining texts, a Running low chip when it is low, and Add texts.
  • Recent campaigns and Live flows list what you have sent and what is running.

On a new brand you also see a setup checklist and a line like "You have sent 40 of your 500 trial emails, and your trial has 5 days left. Tests to yourself do not count."

#If it didn't work

  • Revenue is a dash or zero. Check that your store is connected and that people clicked. See "Check your store is being tracked".
  • The numbers differ from your shop's admin. Home counts orders that arrived with a total we could read, and leaves out cancelled orders.
  • A chart is empty. No order in the period carried a readable total. It fills in with the next order.
