Find your way around
The main sidebar, the Email & SMS workspace, what each row opens, and where Settings keeps everything else.
Where it is in the app
Everything starts on the Home screen, the first thing you see after you sign in.
- Home
Amino Engine is organised as products. The left sidebar changes depending on which one you are in.
#The main sidebar
When you sign in you land on the combined Home. The sidebar here is a flat list of four rows:
- Home
- Email & SMS
- Advertising
- Settings
Press Email & SMS to open the email and texting workspace. Press Advertising to open the ad tools. Both have their own sidebar, with All products at the top to take you back.
#Inside Email & SMS
Rows, from the top:
| Row | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Home | Your revenue from email, your list, your sending health. |
| Campaigns | One-off emails to a list or segment. |
| Flows | Emails that send themselves when something happens, such as a cart left behind. |
| SMS | Register your business for texting, send texts, read replies. The row only shows once texting is switched on for your account. |
| Audience | Folder: Contacts, and Lists & segments. |
| Tools | Folder: Templates, Receipts & codes, Forms, Coupons. |
| Reports | Folder: Analytics, Messages, Reputation. |
| Settings | One row that opens every setting. |
Press a folder to open it and see its rows.
The names to remember:
- Flows is the word for automations. The address in your browser still says
automations. - Receipts & codes is where order confirmations, password resets and login codes live.
- Messages is the log of every email, so you can see whether a given person got a given email.
- Reputation is how mailbox providers see you.
#The bottom of the sidebar
- Setup guide · 2 of 4 done until you finish the checklist.
- A trial line, such as Trial · 5 days left, that opens Settings → Billing. When the trial is over it reads Trial ended.
- Your first name, which opens Settings → General → Account, and a light and dark switch. The switch only changes how the app looks to you.
- Plan & billing and Sign out.
#Settings
Settings is one row, and the page it opens has its own left rail with these groups:
- General: Personal, Account, Users, Messaging, Domains, API keys, Activity log, Security.
- Billing: Overview, Payments & invoices, Preferences.
- Email: Sender information, Sender preferences, Tracking, Brand kit.
- Text message: Sender information, Sender preferences, Terms. This group only shows once texting is switched on for your account.
- Attribution
- Data: Contact fields, Profile maintenance.
- Monitors
- Other: Consent pages, Integrations.
#Where to find things, by job
If you cannot remember where something is, start from what you want to do:
- Sending to a list: Campaigns.
- Something that should happen on its own: Flows.
- Who you can email: Audience.
- Why an email did not arrive: Reports → Messages.
- Why emails go to spam: Reports → Reputation.
- Your card and invoices: Settings → Billing.
#If it didn't work
- You cannot see Advertising. It shows as Advertising with an Off tag until you turn it on, and it may be hidden for some accounts.
- You cannot change a setting. Your role may only allow you to see it. Ask an owner or admin. See "Team members and what each role can do".
