Your first week, in order
The order that gets a new brand from signup to a first sent campaign and a first live flow, with the article for each step.
Where it is in the app
Everything starts on the Home screen, the first thing you see after you sign in.
- Home
You do not have to do everything at once. This is the order that works, with the article to open for each step. The Get set up checklist on Home follows the same path.
#Day 1: get in and connect
Create your account. See "Create your account".
Answer the first wizard screen. Only screen 1 is compulsory. See "The setup wizard, step by step".
Connect your store. Orders and carts are what make revenue show up. See "Connect your store". If you skipped it, Get set up on Home has a button.
Pick a plan or add your card. The trial lasts seven days and caps real sends at 500. See "Your free trial" and "Plans and what they cost".
#Day 1 or 2: make your email trustworthy
Add the sending domain. One DNS record at whoever runs your website. See "Set up your sending domain". It can take hours to land, so start it early.
Understand permission. Who you may email depends on where each address came from. See "Consent, unsubscribes and held-back contacts".
#Day 2 or 3: bring your people
Import your contacts. See "Import contacts and consent". Be honest about where the list came from. A list bought from someone else is refused.
Check the store is being tracked. See "Check your store is being tracked".
#Day 3 or 4: put something on that sends itself
Turn on your first flow. An abandoned cart or a welcome series earns while you work. See "Turn on your first flow".
Add a sign-up form so new subscribers arrive on their own. See "Build a sign-up form" and "Show a form on your site".
#Day 5 and on: your first campaign
Send a test to yourself. See "Preview and send a test". Tests do not count against the trial.
Send your first campaign. See "Send your first campaign".
Read the results. See "Read a campaign report" and "Read your Home screen".
#If you only have ten minutes
Connect the store, verify the domain, and turn on one flow. Those three produce the most with the least work. Everything else can wait.
#If it didn't work
- A step is blocked by someone else. The domain record often is. Skip it for now. Home keeps it on the checklist.
- You are not sure what to do next. Open Get set up on Home. It shows what is still open.
