Cancel your plan or close your brand

There are two ways to stop. Cancelling the plan stops the billing. Closing the brand stops the billing and all sending, and takes the brand out of use. In both cases nothing you built is deleted.

Both need the owner or admin role. Closing a brand needs the owner.

#Cancel your plan

1. Go to Settings → Billing → Overview, or Payments & invoices.

   On screenSettings › Billing › Overview

2. Press Cancel plan. It is the red text under the plan card on Overview, and the button in the Cancel your plan card on Payments & invoices.

3. Stripe's page opens at the cancel step. Confirm there.

4. You come back to Amino Engine. The plan card now says Ending and Stops on with a date.

What this does:

• Billing stops at the end of the month you have paid for. You keep sending until that date.
• Everything you built stays: campaigns, flows, templates, contacts and reports.
• If you are still on the free trial and cancel, you are not charged. The plan stops where the trial ends.

#Change your mind

While the plan is Ending, the Payments & invoices card is headed Your plan is ending and its button reads Manage plan. It opens Stripe's page, where you can keep the plan.

After the date passes, the plan has ended. Start a new one at app.aminoengine.com/plans.

#Close this brand

Closing is for ending the whole account. It stops all sending and cancels your plan at the end of the month you have paid for. Nothing is deleted. You keep reading and exporting everything.

1. Go to Settings → Billing → Overview.

   On screenSettings › Billing › Overview

2. Scroll to the card Close this brand and press Close this brand.

3. A box asks you to Type your brand's name to confirm. Type it exactly as it appears in the label.

4. Press Close this brand again. The button reads Closing… and then the page says This brand is closed. Nothing will send, your plan stops at the end of the month you have paid for, and nothing has been deleted.

If you press Keep it open, nothing happens.

Only the owner can do this. Anyone else sees Only the owner can close a brand.

If you type the name wrong, the page says Type the brand's name exactly — — to close it.

#Reopen it

A closed brand shows is closed with the line Nothing is sending. Everything you built is still here, and you can still read and export it. Press Reopen it. The page says This brand is open again. Pick a plan when you want to start sending. A brand that was waiting for approval before it closed says it still needs to be approved before it can send.

A brand that was not closed from this screen, for example one our team closed, cannot be reopened here. The page says This brand was not closed from here. Email support@aminoengine.com.

#Leave a brand without closing it

If you are one member of a team, you can step away without closing anything. Go to Settings → General → Personal, find Leaving this brand and press the button. It takes you off the brand and deletes nothing. The owner cannot leave: the page says You are the owner. Make somebody else the owner first, or close the brand below.

#If it didn't work

• Cancel plan is missing. You have no active paid plan, or it already says Ending.
• Cancel plan says Payments open soon. We cannot open Stripe at this moment. Try again later.
• It says you have not started a plan yet. There is no subscription to manage.
• You want your data out. Closing keeps everything readable and exportable. Email support@aminoengine.com for help with a full export.
