Bulk upload ads
Drop in pictures and videos, write the words once, pick your ad accounts, and create a paused campaign on each in one go.

Bulk upload is the no-AI way to launch the same ads on several ad accounts at once. You drop in your creatives, write the words, choose where they go, and press one button. Everything is created paused.
#Open it
From Home, press Create and choose Ads in bulk. The page is at /ads/bulk. It only appears once Advertising is on and Meta is connected. If Meta is not connected, the page says "Connect an ad account first."
Only team members who can send campaigns can create the ads. Others can look.
#1. Add your creatives
Drop images and videos onto the page, or press browse. It accepts PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, MP4 and WebM. The page counts what you added.
You can also drop a spreadsheet saved as CSV, TSV or TXT with the files. Its first row must have at least one of Headline, Primary text or Link. To give each row its own words, add a File column with the name of the picture or video. We match rows to files by name and tell you how many matched and which did not.
If the sheet has different sets of words but no File column, the page says so and asks you to add one.
The Ads list shows each creative with its Name, Headline, Primary text, Link, and Format (Image or Video). Anything you leave empty says "Same as above" and uses the words from the shared fields. Earlier uploads are folded under Earlier uploads.
If Meta turned a file down, the row says "Meta turned this down".
#2. Write the words once
The shared fields are Headline, Primary text, Link and Button. Put your tracking link in Link if you use ad links. See "Make an ad link".
#3. Pick where it goes
Under Where it goes:
- Ad accounts. Choose each account. For each, choose the page to post as ("Post as… pick a page") and a pixel. With no pixel the choice reads "No pixel — chase clicks", which means the campaign optimises for clicks, not sales.
- Campaign. Pick a template. Each one makes one campaign per account, with one or more audiences. Set the budget in a day, per account. Four pictures on a three-audience template make twelve ads per account, and the button shows the real number.
- Who it is for. Cold — never heard of you, Warm — looked, not bought or Hot — nearly bought.
- Naming. Optional patterns for the campaign, ad set and ad names. You can use these tokens: brand, stage, budget, audience, date, creative, account and version, written in curly brackets such as
{audience}. Leave a pattern empty to keep the default names. A token we do not know is refused with a sentence, not printed.
An account that is not ready shows what it is missing, such as a card or a page.
#4. Create
The bottom line says how many ads you are about to create and ends with "Everything starts paused." Press Create followed by the number, such as Create 12 ads. The button stays off while the page is saving, and when a line under the form says why creating is not possible.
The result lists each account that worked and each file that did not, with the reason, such as "For pic2.jpg: …".
#Past runs
Past runs lists your earlier runs with When, Result, Accounts, Ads up and Did not go. A run shows Up, paused when it worked and Did not go when it did not.
#If it didn't work
- Create stays greyed out. Look for a red line under the form. It names the cause: usually an account with no page, or no ad account chosen.
- "Creating ads is switched off on this test site." Use the live site.
- A file will not upload. Check it is one of the formats above. Meta also refuses files that are too large, so try a smaller one.
- The ad account is refused. It is outside a slot. Put it in one on Connections.
