Choose which ad accounts use your slots

A slot is permission for one ad account to be worked on for one month. You choose the accounts. Nothing fills a slot by itself.

Your plan includes 3 slots. Each extra slot is $19.99 a month, with no cap.

#What a slot changes

• An ad account in a slot says In a slot. We read it, launching on it works, and your AI can reach it.
• An ad account outside a slot is greyed out and says Not synced. We do not read it, launch on it, or let your AI reach it. Its numbers stop updating. Its ads keep running on Meta.

A slot is held for the whole billing month. Putting an account into a slot and taking it out again does not give the slot back until the month turns over.

#Fill a slot

1. Open Advertising → Connections.

   On screenAdvertising › Connections

2. At the top, a note says "Pick which ad accounts use your 3 slots" while any are free.

3. Press Use a slot next to each ad account you want us to work on.

4. The row now says In a slot. We start reading it within a few minutes.

If you have kept an ad account out of the product on purpose, you must bring it back before it can take a slot.

#When every slot is used

The note at the top says "All 3 slots are used this month. Add a slot for $19.99 a month, or swap on" followed by the date your month turns over. The accounts outside a slot say No slot free.

You have two choices:

• Add a slot. Press Add a slot in the line under the page title, which takes you to Settings → Billing. See "What Advertising costs and the free trial".
• Swap at the end of the month. See below.

#Swap an ad account

1. On an account that says In a slot, press Swap at period end.

2. The row says "Frees up" followed by the date. The account keeps its slot until then.

3. On that date the slot frees up. Press Use a slot on a different account.

Accounts you do not touch stay in their slots month after month.

#Launching needs a slot

If you try to launch ads to an ad account that is not in a slot, the launch is refused before anything is created: "One of these ad accounts is not in a slot this month, so we cannot launch to it. Put it in a slot on Connections first."

#Our own brands

An account that belongs to one of our own brands has no slot limit. The title line reads "All accounts · house brand", and there are no slot buttons.

#If it didn't work

• Use a slot is greyed out. Only owners and admins can use it, and it needs an active trial or plan.
• It says it cannot see that ad account. Refresh the page and try again.
• You added a slot but the page still says full. Reload Connections. A new slot works at once.
• The date to swap is wrong. It follows your billing month, shown on Settings → Billing.
